The role

The Proposal and Reporting Trainee will support the Programme Development & Quality Department in ensuring quality throughout proposals and donor reporting. The post holder will closely work with the Director of Programme Development & Quality, the Director of Finance, the Director of Grants and the Technical Advisers in the development of high quality concept notes and proposals for major donors as well as coordinating the development of narrative donor reporting. S/He will work closely with the MEAL team and ensuring all parts of a report meet quality requirements and are submitted on time. He will ensure financial and narrative consistence

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Bilingual English/French (oral and writing)
  • Master degree a relevant subject or equivalent field experience
  • Willingness to learn and gain competence in proposal and report writing, including experience of financial planning and budget expenditure monitoring
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a rapidly changing context
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly into the field
  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Desirable:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of Child right based programming.
  • Knowledge of DRC and/or central and/or west Africa region.

Contract length: 06 months
