Chemonics seeks a French-speaking supply chain consultant to assume various management and technical roles for an upcoming in-country supply chain assessment in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The assessment will address organizational development and change management, commodity forecasting and supply planning, warehousing and inventory management, transportation and distribution, waste management, logistics management information systems, data visibility, stock security and traceability, human resources for logistics operations, pharmaceutical supply chain mapping and assessment, supply chain business model development, quality assurance, governance, policy, legislation, and regulation. Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical and management expertise for the comprehensive assessment of the National Essential Medication Supply System (SNAME) in the DRC
- Contribute to the completion of all proposed assessment deliverables
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in pharmacy, public health, logistics, supply chain management, business, or a closely related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in organizational or change management
- Experience managing essential medicines, health commodity logistics, and supply chain capacity building
- Experience working in resource-constrained environments
- Experience in international health and systems strengthening programs
- Experience working closely with high-level government officials in host countries
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Deep knowledge of or prior experience working with international organizations, governments of developing countries, international NGOs, and other organizations in the health sector
- Strong organizational, managerial, coordination, and team leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate complex situations and make clear, logical recommendations to address the challenges those situations present
- Computer competency
- Ability to travel to the DRC for short-term assignments
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Proficiency in English and French required
