Conciliation Resources is currently recruiting a DRC Project Manager to work with a London based team and local partners. The post, based in Dungu, northeastern DRC requires frequent travel in BasUélé, Haute Uélé and Ituri provinces, with occasional travel to Kinshasa and outside the country.
The DRC Project Manager will manage the implementation of a 24-month project “*Strengthening youth involvement in conflict prevention in areas affected by the Lord’s Resistance Army conflict in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)’*
Considerable and proven experience of working with a wide range of social and political actors and young people is essential as is a sound understanding of the conflict dynamics in DRC. Candidates should have considerable field and office based experience of working in conflict transformation, governance or a related fields. They should have a proven track record in successful project management and coordinating work on multiple projects with a range of contacts in conditions of current or recent conflict. Fluency in spoken and written English and French is essential and knowledge of local languages is advantageous.
This project started on 1 January 2017 and will expire on 31 December 2018. All applicants should have the right to work in DRC and should expect to provide evidence of this at interview.
