Fixed Term 1 – 3 months (Subject to funding)
The total salary package for this position is £59,004 - £65,172 GBP per annum. * (circa $86,400 - $95,500 USD) including basic salary, hardship allowance, and cost of living allowance.

About the DRC programme:
MAG has been working in DRC since 2004 on a range of clearance activities, decreasing the risk posed by mines and unexploded ordnance. As well as conducting technical clearance work, MAG also delivers risk education, to further reduce the threat to local communities and has been increasingly working on PSSM projects.
About the role:
MAG is seeking a Technical Trainer to lead, oversee and safely manage the delivery of a new Arms Management Destruction project in DRC, to the Congolese National Police (PNC). The Technical trainer will be responsible for the management and delivery of the project, which will be for a minimum of 1 month, up to 3 months. Working under the direct supervision of the Technical Operations Manager they will ensure that all aspects the project are completed in accordance with International Standards, MAG’s Standard Operating Procedures and best practice.
About you:
You will need to be an experienced trainer with experience in weapons handling and ammunition management and a background in working in Physical Security and Stockpile Management/Arms Management and Destruction. You will need good negotiation and liaison skills as well as a practical approach to getting time bound tasks completed. Fluent French and English language skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this post.
You should be aware though, MAG’s areas of operations are often remote with basic amenities, so you will need to be able to live and work in challenging environments, where the need for your skills and MAG’s work is most.
