SUMMARY:
Counterpart International is currently seeking a BRIDGE Accrediting Facilitator to prepare, lead and evaluate BRIDGE Train the facilitator (TtF) workshop. This is a part time position (consultancy) based in Kinshasa, DRC. This position will report to Deputy Chief of Party.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Counterpart is recruiting two (2) BRIDGE accrediting facilitators to prepare, lead and evaluate BRIDGE Train the facilitator (TtF) workshop. Counterpart plans to hold a 10-day TtF workshop for 24 participants from July 4 to 15, 2016. Indicatively, the target audience will include members of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) and civil society stakeholders active in civil and voter education. The overall objective of this consultant contract is, thus, to develop detailed BRIDGE training of trainers curriculum, lead and evaluate those trainings, and then produce reports. The substantive preparation, coordination, methodology and reporting/evaluation of the ToT are entrusted to the facilitator.
At the end of this contract, the following results are expected from the consultant(s):
• Implementation of a 10-day BRIDGE training of trainers course tailored to local capacity and context;
• A total of 24 participants are trained through the BRIDGE methodology;
• A report is developed for the training, including an assessment of each day of training;
• TtF Complete certificates are issued by the facilitator to the participants who have fulfilled the conditions set by BRIDGE.
The anticipated mission duration is 19 days, divided as follows: 2 days for travel, 6 days to prepare the modules to be delivered (with input from the Deputy Chief of Party and Capacity Strengthening program staff); 10 days for the training; 1 day for the drafting and submission of final reports.
Counterpart souhaite recruter deux consultants ayant le statut de facilitateur accréditeur BRIDGE. Le facilitateur sera chargé de préparer, d’animer et d’évaluer un atelier de formation des facilitateurs. Il est envisagé la tenue d’une session de formation de facilitateur de 10 jours, du 4 au 15 juillet 2016, à l’attention de 24 participants. De façon indicative, le public-cible sera composé de membres de la Commission électorale nationale indépendante, de Counterpart et d’organisations de la société civile actives dans l’éducation civile et électorale. L’objectif général de ce contrat est d’élaborer, de proposer des modules détaillés de formation de facilitaeur BRIDGE, d’animer et évaluer les formations et d’en produire les rapports. La préparation substantive, l’animation, la méthodologie de travail et le reporting/évaluation de la formation sont confiés au facilitateur.
Au terme de ce contrat, il est attendu du (de la) consultant(e), les résultats suivants :
• Des modules détaillés de formation de facilitateur BRIDGE adaptés aux groupes cibles constituant le public des participants sont mis à la disposition des personnes formées ;
• Un total de 24 participants sont formés grâce à la méthode BRIDGE ;
• Un rapport final est élaboré à la fin de la formation incluant une évaluation de chaque session de formation ;
• Des certificats de facilitateur semi-accrédité sont délivrés par le facilitateur aux participants ayant rempli les conditions fixées par BRIDGE.
La durée prévue de la mission est de 19 jours, répartis comme suit: 2 jours pour voyage, 6 jours pour la préparation des modules à délivrer; 10 jours pour l’animation des formations; 1 jour pour la rédaction et la soumission des rapports.
Requirements
The facilitator must have experience as a BRIDGE facilitator, experience drafting BRIDGE documents, reports and evaluations; and strong interpersonal, communication and diplomatic skills. In addition, the facilitator must posses:

Education
• A university-level degree in social sciences, humanities, law, communication, international relations, political science, development studies, or a similar field;
• BRIDGE-certified Accrediting Facilitator
Professional Experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with the BRIDGE methodology;
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Great Lakes region is desirable and knowledge of the political context of the Democratic Republic of Congo is preferable. Significant experience in this country is an asset.
Work Language
• Fluency in written and spoken French. The training will be conducted in French, which is also used for the production of teaching materials.
