PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The DRC Country Director serves as FH’s chief representative in the country. He/she provides leadership to and manages all FH programs and staff in DRC. Within the framework of FH’s Vision and Mission, the primary result of his/her work is to progress the programs towards achieving FH’s global strategy, Envision 2020, and its targets within the country. The Country Director will be a proactive self-starter who is able to understand and engage with the government at all levels positioning our organization for growth while minimizing potential risk. He or she enjoys setting vision and working with a team to achieve it and thrives in a complex cultural and operational environment.
POSITION/SCOPE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION
- This position reports directly and functionally to the Regional Director.
- This position directly manages Program Director, Human Resources and Administration Manager, Finance Manager, Logistics Manager, M&E manager, Internal Auditor and Security focal point. Indirectly, the Country Director supervises all field staff.
- This position manages/oversees the entire country operational budget.
