As Country Security Advisor - Democratic Republic of Congo, you will support the World Vision (WV) Democratic Republic (DR) Congo National Director in ensuring that effective security measures for National Office and three Regional Offices including (Western, North West and Southern Regions) are appropriately planned for and addressed within the context.
You will lead in the optimization of organizational security and the mitigation of operational risks for ministry effectiveness by establishing security systems and mechanisms for institutionalizing an organizational culture and practice of safety and security.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree; experience & Police/Law Enforcement or military training (desirable).
- At least 4 years’ experience in security management roles.
- Broad understanding of local security issues and Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct.
- Good English communication skills (oral and written).
- Work environment: Office-based with 20% domestic/international travel to the field required. On call 10%
