CAFOD works with partner organisations to combat poverty and injustice and to build a strong and dynamic civil society. We are looking for a highly motivated Programme Development and Funding Officer to work in partnership with local organisations to bring about real change in the lives of poor people and translate our plans for development and justice into reality.
You will work within DRC team within the Africa Region and within the International Development Group but will be based in CAFOD’s DRC office in Kinshasa or Goma.
Your role
The post-holder will be responsible for building effective working relationships with peers across the International Development Group, as well as with colleagues in the Emergency Response and Advocacy Groups, and the International Programme Funding Unit.
Job Profile
The post-holder will need to develop and maintain horizontal links between programmes, learning, innovation, good practice, and fundraising within and between regions or areas of work. Experience in developing and designing of high quality programmes and projects; identifying new funding opportunities through donor mapping exercises, etc. The candidate must be fluent in English and French with knowledge of a local language.
